Part of the Case Repair Manuals.
Engine, rear axle, hydrostatic drive, brakes, steering, hydraulics, cab climate control and electrical systems are each worked end to end in this 777-page Case 1107EX service manual PDF for the soil compactor, OEM ID 51478299. Wiring diagrams cover harnesses and connectors, the engine starting system, alternator and battery, and hydraulic schematics show the circuit served by the reservoir, cooler and filters. Exploded views break down engine assemblies, while the rear axle chapter works through the bevel gear set, differential, planetary final drives and steering knuckles. Set fan belt deflection to 10.0 to 15.0 mm (0.4 to 0.6 in), then torque Size 6 tube nuts on 37° flared fittings to 29 to 33 N·m (21 to 24 lb ft). Maybe your job starts with ordering a replacement fan belt. Chapter bookmarks and a searchable text layer take you straight to that procedure, so you can fit the new belt and tension it to the manual's own figure.

Case 1107EX Common Problems This Manual Covers
Case 1107EX engine cranks but will not start, or shuts off right after starting
Check fuel level, then bleed the fuel system and prime it with the hand priming pump per page 43. Do not smoke or use a phone while refuelling (page 13). Inspect connections for leaks and replace clogged filter elements. If the shut-off device stops the engine with the hydraulic oil level lamp on, top up hydraulic oil. With the lamp off, check voltage at stop magnet Y5, fuse F3, relay K3 and connectors.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 43Engine cooling system, radiator and fan belt inspection when the engine keeps overheating
Stop the engine and let it reach ambient temperature before any maintenance (page 42). Never handle coolant above 49 °C (120 °F), per page 382. Replenish coolant and repair the leak. Clean the radiator and cooling circuit deposits. Check fan belt deflection against 10.0 to 15.0 mm (0.4 to 0.6 in) per page 42, adjust or replace the belt, and torque bolt (3) to 90 to 100 N·m. Verify the thermostat.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 43Starter does not crank and the engine stays dead when you try to start
Turn on the battery master switch first. Move the travel controller to neutral, lower its tilting arm and release the emergency brake button, as page 43 lists. Test battery voltage and check cables and connections. Never make or break battery connections with the engine running (page 16). Inspect the starter connection and whether the pinion shifts out. Check the switch box: relay K4, terminal switches S13, S10, S11 and cables.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 43Hydrostatic drive system operating at high temperature with the hydraulic oil running hot
Let hydraulic oil cool below 49 °C (120 °F) before handling it (page 382), then fill the reservoir to proper level. Check air flow and inlet air temperature at the heat exchanger; clean, repair or replace it. Check charge inlet vacuum and replace a dirty inlet filter. Measure charge pressure without moving the machine (page 243) and adjust or replace the charge relief valve per page 252.
Manual Section: Hydrostatic drive Troubleshooting p. 252Hydrostatic drive system will not operate in either direction, machine will not move
Fill the reservoir to proper level and confirm the bypass valves are closed. Check control input and displacement control linkages. Measure charge pressure in neutral, then in stroke, without moving the machine (page 243); if low in stroke, adjust or replace the charge relief valve per page 253. Relieve all pressure before opening lines (page 220), then inspect the inlet filter and charge pump.
Manual Section: Hydrostatic drive Troubleshooting p. 253Rear axle gaskets and seals leaking oil, with oil level dropping between service intervals
Let axle oil cool below 49 °C (120 °F) before draining it (page 382). Replace the leaking gasket or seal, and the matching surface if damaged, following page 168. Check for a damaged seal lip or an incorrectly assembled gasket. Do not use a hammer directly on the seals (page 105). Replace contaminated oil with correct lubricant, filling to the 14.5 l (3.83 US gal) capacity on page 95.
Manual Section: Rear axle system Troubleshooting p. 168Frequently Asked Questions
How do I bleed the fuel system on a CASE 1107EX?
