Part of the Case Repair Manuals.
The EW-16 powershift is the hardest system on a 9350. It has 12 forward and 3 reverse speeds, run by an electronic controller that reports faults as E-codes. The book covers those codes, controller calibration and the clutch pressure checks that tell an electrical fault from a worn pack. The HM-2/HM-24 synchroshift, PTO and axles sit in the same power train section.
You also get removal and installation for the Cummins LTA-10-A and MTA-11-A, plus electronic steering calibration, caliper disc brakes, the three-point hitch valve, cab removal and the center hinge bearings. Electrical faults are traced circuit by circuit using wiring codes and troubleshooting tables. Routine checks are covered too, like precharging fresh coolant with DCA4.
When you pull the cab or reinstall an MTA-11-A, the torque charts and fluid capacities let you finish to Case's own figures.

Case 9350 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Transmission controller logs E10 and shifting acts up, especially under heavy load or on a cold start
Treat E10 as a voltage problem before you treat it as a transmission problem. The book defines E10 as low system voltage, less than 9.5 volts. Check battery charge condition and recharge if necessary, check the battery cable connections, then the alternator drive belt or charging system, and reduce the applied system load. Use the alternator testing procedure in the Electrical section if the charging system is suspect.
Manual Section: Power Train: Transmission Controller Error Codes / Electrical: Alternator Testing and Battery Service p. 149One powershift clutch slips or won't engage on the EW-16
Run the clutch pressure checks in the Power Train section before you pull anything apart. If any pressure is low, keep working the hydraulic side. If every clutch pressure is good and the clutch still slips, the manual puts the fault inside the clutch itself, so the transmission has to come apart.
Manual Section: Power Train: EW-16 Powershift Transmission p. 1148Coolant was drained and refilled with plain antifreeze mix and no conditioner added
The Engine cooling system section says new coolant has to be precharged. Add one pint of DCA4 liquid (5 units) for every 4 gallons of coolant in the system. Use the fluid capacities in the General section to work out the total, then dose to match.
Manual Section: Engine: Cooling System p. 86Three-point hitch lifts slowly or stalls short of full height with a heavy implement
Start with the Hydraulic System troubleshooting charts, then service the filters. Check the pump against its spec of 27 GPM at 2100 RPM, with system pressure topping out at 2900 PSI. If the pump meets spec, work through the three point hitch valve procedures next.
Manual Section: Hydraulic System: Troubleshooting, Pump, Three Point Hitch Valve p. 11Frequently Asked Questions
My 9350 shows E10 on the transmission display. What is it telling me?
E10 means the controller sees low system voltage, under 9.5 volts (page 149). Check battery charge and the battery cable connections first. Then check the alternator drive belt and the charging system, and cut the applied load. A tired battery or a loose ground will bring this code up long before the transmission has any real fault. p. 149
What does E41 mean, and how do I get rid of it?
E41 is an incorrect forward or reverse command reaching the controller (page 151). The book sends you to the system reset procedure in the operating instructions. Do the reset before you go looking for wiring or controller problems. p. 151
The audio alarm keeps sounding while I chase a fault. How do I clear it?
Shift the mode lever into neutral. That clears the error code and the audio alarm so you can keep troubleshooting (page 572). If the code comes straight back once you select a gear, the fault is still there and you can work through the error code chart. p. 572
What torque do the wheel mounting bolts take on a Case 9350 tractor?
Wheel mounting bolts go to 510 to 590 lb ft (692 to 800 Nm), dry threads (page 34), so leave the oil off. Do not mix this up with the wheel hub cover bolts on the K695 front steerable axle: those take 130 to 137 lb ft and go in with Loctite 242 thread lock (page 710). p. 34
Clutch pressures test good but one range still slips. Now what?
The book is clear on this one. If all clutch pressures are good and a clutch still won't engage or slips, the problem is mechanical inside the clutch (page 1148). Stop chasing valves and electrics and plan to open up the transmission. Running the pressure checks first saves you from tearing down a pack that was never the problem. p. 1148
