This Kubota workshop manual covers the GL6000, GL7000, GL9000 and GL11000 diesel generators, built around the Z482-E2B-SEC-2 and D722-E2B-SEC-2 engines. Its 165 pages are split between the engine and the generator, so you can service both halves of the unit from one PDF.The engine chapters give identification data, troubleshooting charts, full servicing specifications, tightening torques, and step by step checking and disassembly. The generator chapters cover the structure, automatic voltage regulator, emergency relay circuit, troubleshooting and servicing of the output side.Whether the engine will not start, the set makes no power, or output drifts under load, this manual gives the factory clearances, torque figures and test procedures to find and fix the fault. Download it as a PDF and reference it on any device in the field or the shop.

Kubota GL6000–GL11000 Series Common Problems This Manual Covers

Engine runs but no power output

When the engine runs normally but the set delivers no output, suspect rotor or stator damage, loose terminals or wiring faults. The generator troubleshooting charts walk through the checks.

Manual Section: Generator Troubleshooting p. 131
Engine cranks but will not start

Fuel contamination, air in the fuel system, clogged lines or an injection pump fault stop the engine starting. This section lists the start failure causes.

Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 51
Unstable or intermittent output

Output that drifts or drops out often comes from loose connections, damaged leads or poor grounding. The generator checking and servicing section covers the control panel and electrical checks.

Manual Section: Generator Checking, Disassembling and Servicing p. 141
Overheating from belt or radiator neglect

A slack fan belt, low coolant or clogged radiator fins cause overheating. The maintenance section gives the belt tension and cooling checks and their intervals.

Manual Section: General Check and Maintenance p. 26
Fuel contamination and injection trouble

Dirt or water in the fuel causes injection pump malfunction and rough running. This section covers the fuel system checking, disassembly and servicing.

Manual Section: Engine Checking, Disassembling and Servicing p. 62
Recurring blown fuses and wiring faults

An incorrect fuse, a short or damaged wiring causes fuses to blow repeatedly. The wiring handling precautions explain safe checks of fuses and connectors.

Manual Section: General Information p. 14
