Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
This is the factory repair manual for the New Holland B100C, B100CLR, B100CTC, B110C, B110CTC and B115C backhoe loaders. Two engine ratings run through the range, and the manual keeps them separate: the B100C machines take a 72 kW (97 HP) Iveco, while the B110C, B110CTC and B115C take an 82 kW (110 HP) electronically controlled unit. The technical specifications section at pages 31 to 96 is the reference you will use most, and the transmission section is the largest at 334 pages.

New Holland B100C-B115C Series Common Problems This Manual Covers
The machine is down on power and you are not sure whether to suspect the fuel system or the electronics.
Establish which engine you have first, because only one of the two is electronic. The B100C machines carry a 72 kW mechanical Iveco with a 16.5:1 compression ratio and 453 Nm at 1400 rpm, while the B110C, B110CTC and B115C carry the 82 kW F5HFL413B*A, described in the specifications as an electronically controlled diesel. On the electronic machine, pull any stored code before you touch a filter; on the mechanical one, low idle should sit at 1000 rpm plus or minus 50.
Manual Section: SECTION 02 - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONSA loader or backhoe function is slow, or the machine knocks under shock loads.
Measure against the three published figures. System pressure should be 170 to 175 bar, the load-sensing relief valve is set to 175 bar, and the shock valves to 235 bar. A function that is slow with correct system pressure points at its own valve or cylinder rather than the pump, and knocking with a correct shock valve setting means the load is exceeding what the circuit was designed to absorb.
Manual Section: SECTION 35 - HYDRAULIC SYSTEMThe transmission slips, shifts harshly, or will not shuttle.
Work the transmission section, which is 334 pages and covers the torque converter, the clutch packs and the control valves along with the pressure test procedure. Test clutch pressures before you split the machine, because a clutch that is never commanded reads the same from the seat as one that is worn out. If the pressures are right and a pack still slips, the section carries the full strip-down and reassembly.
Manual Section: SECTION 21 - TRANSMISSIONFrequently Asked Questions
Which machines does this manual cover?
Six backhoe loaders: B100C, B100CLR, B100CTC, B110C, B110CTC and B115C. They share the axles, the hydraulics, the loader and the backhoe, and the manual calls out the model wherever a component or a rating differs.
Which engine is in my machine?
It depends on the model. The B100C, B100CLR and B100CTC run a 72 kW (97 HP) Iveco at 2200 rpm, a 4-cylinder with two valves per cylinder, a 99 mm bore and 4485 cm3 (237.69 in3) displacement, a 16.5:1 compression ratio and 453 Nm (334 lbf ft) of maximum torque at 1400 rpm. The B110C, B110CTC and B115C run an 82 kW (110 HP) unit at the same 2200 rpm, model F5HFL413B*A, which is an electronically controlled diesel.
What hydraulic pressures should I be setting?
System pressure runs 170 to 175 bar (2465 to 2538 psi). The load-sensing pressure relief valve is adjusted to 175 bar (2538 psi) and the shock valves to 235 bar (3408 psi). Those three figures are the ones you will reach for most; the technical specifications section carries the rest, circuit by circuit.
How thorough is the transmission section?
It is the largest in the book, 334 pages from 147 to 480. It covers the torque converter, the powershuttle and powershift transmissions, their clutch packs and control valves, the pressure test procedure and a full strip-down and reassembly.
How big is the manual and can I search it?
It is 1230 pages in English, a searchable and printable PDF. Search the text, print the pages you need for the bench, and keep the rest on a laptop in the workshop.
