Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
Fault codes are the hardest part of an E60C to work through without the book. The Fault Codes (DTC) section takes codes like 91-4 Accelerator sensor 1 Error (low voltage) through circuit tests to a diagnostic solution. The Wiring harnesses section carries the electrical schematic sheets and connector diagrams.
The rest of the manual covers the Yanmar 4TNV98C overhaul, common rail injection, EGR and DPF, and the hydraulic pump, main control valve and pilot circuit. It also covers the swing and travel motors, the undercarriage, the boom, dipper, dozer blade and cab HVAC.
The book applies to the E60C Cab version, part number 51663427, dated October 2019. Fold-out electrical and hydraulic schematics are bound in at the back.

New Holland E60C Common Problems This Manual Covers
Engine runs but the machine is inoperative, and the hydraulic pump makes an abnormal noise
According to the Hydraulic systems troubleshooting table, an abnormal noise from the pump with the engine running means the pump is broken. It has to come out to be disassembled and repaired. Use the variable displacement pump procedures in the same section. Main relief valve pressure is listed at 21581 kPa (3130 psi) for when you put a gauge on it afterward.
Manual Section: Hydraulic systems - Service instruction - Troubleshooting p. 388Hydraulic oil foaming in the reservoir
The Hydraulic systems troubleshooting table says foam coming up means water has mixed into the oil. Let the hydraulic oil stand still, then separate the water and dispose of it. The other remedy the table gives is to replace the hydraulic oil. Use the reservoir and filters procedures and the Fluids and lubricants spec when refilling.
Manual Section: Hydraulic systems - Service instruction - Troubleshooting p. 389Abnormal noise at the hydraulic pump connection, with rubber pieces or particles around the flange
The hydraulic pump flange troubleshooting says rubber pieces or particles at the pump connection mean the coupling element is broken. The remedy it gives is to disassemble and repair it. The Hydraulic Systems section also covers the variable displacement pump, so you have the pump procedures on hand if the coupling is not the whole story.
Manual Section: Hydraulic pump flange - Service instruction - Troubleshooting p. 474Fault code 91-4 Accelerator sensor 1 Error (low voltage)
Work the 91-4 circuit test in the Fault Codes (DTC) section. If the resistance reading at the sensor is about 0 Ω, accelerator sensor 1 at CN-16B has an internal short circuit to ground. The remedy the book gives is to replace the component. The 91-3 article next to it covers the high-voltage error on the same accelerator sensor 1.

Which machine does the New Holland E60C service manual cover?
The applicability printed in the manual is the E60C Cab version. It is part number 51663427, in English, dated October 2019. No PIN range is printed, so check your machine against the product identification pages in the introduction before you order parts from it. p. 2
What engine does the New Holland E60C use and how much power does it make?
The E60C uses a Yanmar 4TNV98C, a four-cylinder in-line, 4-cycle low-emission diesel built to Tier 4 Final fuel specifications. Rated gross power is 48.3 kW (65.7 Hp) at 2200 RPM under SAE J1995. Maximum torque is 235.4 N·m (173.6 lb ft) at 1560 RPM, and displacement is 3319 cm³ (203 in³). High idle is 2500-2600 RPM and low idle is 950-1050 RPM. p. 20
How much engine oil, coolant and hydraulic oil does the New Holland E60C take?
Engine oil quantity is 11.6 L (3.1 US gal), and the antifreeze/water coolant mixture is 11 L (2.9 US gal). Total capacity of the hydraulic system is 110.0 L (29.1 US gal). The Fluids and lubricants pages in the introduction list the correct spec for each fluid. p. 20
What is the operating weight and digging depth of the New Holland E60C?
Operating weight is 5975 kg (13173 lb) with cab, boom, arm, bucket, full fluids, steel track and operator. With the 2.9 m mono boom, maximum digging depth is 3570 mm (140.6 in) and maximum reach is 6150 mm (242.1 in). ISO bucket digging force is 40.9 kN (9194.7 lb). Track shoes are 380 mm (15.0 in) for steel and 450 mm (17.7 in) for rubber. p. 23
Does the New Holland E60C service manual include wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics and fault codes?
Yes, all three. The Wiring harnesses section has the electrical schematic sheets and connector diagrams, and a fold-out electrical schematic sits at the back. Hydraulic schemas are in the Hydraulic systems section, with a fold-out hydraulic schematic as well. The FAULT CODES - DTC section works each code through circuit tests, for example 91-3 and 91-4 for accelerator sensor 1 high and low voltage. p. 1084
