Part of the New Holland Repair Manuals.
Service manual 47546458 takes a New Holland Roll-Belt 150 or Roll-Belt 180 round baler apart and back together, from the PTO gearbox to the net wrapper. It covers ActiveSweep, SuperFeed and CropCutter machines with 1.8 m or 2.0 m Wide pickups. Net and twine wrap, Bale Command II Plus and ISOBUS control are in the same June 2014 book.
This book gives you the torque values, the belt lengths and the fault code checks.
The chapters run system by system, so the electrical schematic sheets, fault codes and hydraulic troubleshooting tables are a quick flip away.

New Holland Roll-Belt 150, Roll-Belt 180 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Bale density pressure drops off, or the baler will not reach maximum baling pressure
Some pressure drop is normal when no crop is coming in. If the pressure keeps falling, look for internal leakage. Replace the seals, or replace the cylinder if the rod or bore shows damage. Bleed the air out of the system and clean any dirt out of the relief valve. If the baler never reaches maximum pressure, adjust the density relief valve as described in the Bale Density Circuit troubleshooting table.
Manual Section: Bale density circuit - Troubleshooting p. 252Tailgate opens slowly, closes fast or drifts open while baling
If the tailgate opens slowly, look for a restriction in the line or a lockout valve that is out of adjustment. Set the lockout valve so the spool gets full travel. If the tailgate closes fast, the orifice in the hydraulic line is missing, so install one. If it drifts open, the tailgate is not latched. Check that the latch is locked before you start baling.
Manual Section: Tailgate circuit - Troubleshooting p. 274Pickup rises too fast or will not lower
If the pickup rises too fast, the orifice in the pickup lift circuit may be missing or installed incorrectly. It has to sit with the slot facing away from the cylinder. If the pickup will not come down, the flotation springs are adjusted incorrectly. Set the pickup flotation weight to the specification given in the Pickup Lift Circuit troubleshooting section.
Manual Section: Pickup lift circuit - Troubleshooting p. 285Fault code 100.04-Battery supply voltage is too low (ICM)
This code means the ICM has sensed less than 10.0 V. The likely causes are a faulty charging system, a bad wiring harness connection or faulty ICM software. First check the tractor's diagnostic screen for battery voltage or charging system codes. Then put a multimeter between harness connector X-059 pin 20 and chassis ground. You should read about 10 - 12.5 V.

Which New Holland balers and configurations does this service manual cover?
This is New Holland service manual 47546458, in English and dated June 2014, for the Roll-Belt 150 and Roll-Belt 180 round balers. It covers the over shot feeder (ActiveSweep), rotor feeder (SuperFeed) and rotor cutter (CropCutter) versions. The 1.8 m and 2.0 m Wide pickups are both included, along with net and twine wrap and Bale Command II Plus or ISOBUS control. p. 1
What bale sizes and bale weights do the Roll-Belt 150 and Roll-Belt 180 make?
Both models make a 1181 mm (46.5 in) wide bale. The Roll-Belt 150 makes bales of 915 - 1524 mm (36 - 60 in) diameter and 181 - 816 kg (400 - 1800 lb). The Roll-Belt 180 makes bales of 915 - 1829 mm (36 - 72 in) and 181 - 998 kg (400 - 2200 lb). Each baler runs four bale forming belts, 273 mm (10.75 in) wide. They are 8712 mm (343 in) long on the 150 and 10681 mm (420.5 in) on the 180. p. 86
What PTO speed and tractor power does the baler need?
The baler runs on a 540/1000 RPM PTO. With the 1.8 m Wide pickup, minimum tractor power is 75 kW (102 Hp) for the Roll-Belt 150 and 78 kW (106 Hp) for the Roll-Belt 180. Add 1.1 kW (1.5 Hp) for every cutter knife in use. The gearbox reduces speed 1.8:1 on 540 RPM input and 3.33:1 on 1000 RPM input, giving 280 - 320 RPM at the output shaft. p. 85
Does the manual list fault codes for the baler controller?
Yes. The FAULT CODES chapter lists each code by number and description, with the control module, context, cause, possible failure modes and solution. It covers both Bale Command II Plus and ISOBUS balers. Examples include 100.03-Battery supply voltage is too high (ICM), 102.03-Bale size position sensor - Shorted to high source, and 300.05-Net duckbill not moving - No electric load, open circuit. p. 607
What is inside this manual: wiring schematics, troubleshooting, repair procedures?
You get electrical schematic sheets. Sheet 01 covers power distribution and the Controller Area Network, sheet 02 covers bale shape and twine wrap, and sheet 04 covers power distribution, knife and drop floor. The harness and connector pages show fuse ratings, including the 5.0 A controller fuse and the 25.0 A system fuse. The hydraulic chapters have circuit overview illustrations for the bale density, tailgate and cutter control circuits. There are also troubleshooting tables and operator's panel diagnostics. Removal, installation and adjustment procedures cover the gearbox, clutches, brakes, pickup, rotor, belts, rolls, sledge, net and twine wrappers and the oiler system. p. 409
