New Holland T4 series engine stalls under PTO load and cranks but won't restart when hot
Drain water from the fuel sediment bowl and replace the cartridge filter on the delivery line to the injection pump (page 20). Bleed the system at the filter head. If stalling continues, pull the injectors and pop-test them; calibration pressure must read 260 to 274 bar (page 21). Low pop-off pressure or nozzle dribble means new nozzles.

Start with the front lift troubleshooting table on page 43. Check hydraulic oil level, then replace the full-flow paper cartridge filter common to the lift circuit (page 66). Check coolant level cold and inspect the radiator core for chaff buildup; blow it clean with compressed air from the fan side. Test the thermostat and pressure cap. Drain and refill the cooling system, 10 L capacity without cab and 12 L with cab (page 17). Verify fan belt tension and the temperature sender wiring before condemning the gauge.
