New Holland T6.125–T6.180 Common Problems This Manual Covers
AutoCommand tractor logs fault code 1004 - Wheel speed sensor - signal too high
In the Fault Codes (DTC) section, 1004 is listed against the UCM on AutoCommand tractors. One printed cause is a faulty speed pickup gear, not only the sensor itself. If any damage is indicated, the manual says to disassemble the rear axle and replace the speed pickup gear.
Manual Section: Electrical systems - FAULT CODES p. 4768Fault code 1024 - Perform the hydraulic lift calibration
Code 1024 is raised by the CCU, and the printed cause is a hydraulic lift that has not been calibrated. The Fault Codes (DTC) section sends you to the hydraulic lift calibration procedure, and the Electronic Modules section covers calibrations.
Manual Section: Electrical systems - FAULT CODES p. 4833Creeper will not engage
Go to Creeper - Troubleshooting in the Transmission section. It lists a faulty creeper engagement switch as a cause and calls for installing a new switch. The Transmission section also covers the creeper itself, so you have the creeper procedures on hand if the switch is not the whole story.
Manual Section: Creeper - Troubleshooting p. 814One remote control valve does not operate
Remote control valve troubleshooting is in the Hydraulic Systems section. For one remote control valve that does not operate, it lists a broken cable as a cause, and the fix is to replace the cable. The same section also covers the remote control valves themselves, so the valve procedures are on hand if the cable is not the whole story.
Manual Section: Remote control valve - Troubleshooting p. 1878Frequently Asked Questions
Which New Holland T6 tractors does this service manual cover?
It covers the T6.125, T6.145, T6.155, T6.165, T6.175 and T6.180 Standard models. It also covers the T6.145, T6.155, T6.165 and T6.175 AutoCommand Sidewinder II. All are Tier 4B (final) North America tractors under part number 51675244, dated September 2019. Standard models run the Semi-Powershift, and AutoCommand models run the CVT. p. 2
What are the fuel, DEF and transmission/hydraulic capacities on these T6 Tier 4B tractors?
The fuel tank holds 197.5 L (52.2 US gal) and the DEF/AdBlue® tank holds 39.5 L (10.4 US gal). The transmission, rear axle and hydraulics share 62.0 L (16.4 US gal). The cooling system takes 21.0 L (5.5 US gal). On the four cylinder models, engine oil with the filter is 10.0 L (2.6 US gal). p. 36
What output and maximum pressure should the variable displacement pump make on the New Holland T6.145–T6.175 AutoCommand?
On the AutoCommand T6.145 through T6.175, the variable displacement pump should deliver 125 L/min (33 US gpm) at 2200 engine RPM. Maximum pressure is 205 - 215 bar (2972 - 3118 psi). The charge pump should give 163 L/min (43 US gpm) at the same engine speed. p. 1628
What are the wheel nut torques on the T6.125 to T6.180?
Front wheel disc to hub nuts take 279 Nm (206 lb ft). At the rear, disc to hub nuts on the flanged axle take 341 Nm (252 lb ft). On the bar axle they take 500 Nm (369 lb ft). p. 2142
Does the manual include wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics and fault codes?
Yes. The Harnesses and connectors section carries electrical schematic sheets such as 01 - POWER DISTRIBUTION, 12 - ENGINE CONTROL UNIT 1 and 23 - INSTRUMENT CLUSTER 1. Hydraulic schemas include the 16x16 with fixed displacement pump, plus all variants and basic variants. A FAULT CODES - DTC section gives causes and diagnostic procedures. p. 2319
