Part of the Case IH Repair Manuals.
Your 9130 has a dual off in the yard, or the cab on a 9270 is blowing warm and the crop won't wait. This is the Case IH factory service manual set for the 9100 and 9200 Series four-wheel-drive articulated tractors, with sections issued 1988 to 1995.
It covers engine removal by model group, powershift and synchromesh transmissions, PTO, driveline, differential lock and articulation steering. Caliper brakes, remote hydraulics and the electronic hitch are in there too. The 9200 sections carry wiring schematics. The 9100 sections give wiring code tables and circuit tests.
A torque figure from memory or a forum post is how disc bolts back off and a dual walks off the hub. Confirm your engine and model group here first, so the parts you order fit the first time and you get back in the field before the weather turns.

Case IH 9110–9280 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Engine has low power and lugs down under load
Check the load before you pull the injection pump. The engine troubleshooting chart lists an overloaded tractor as a cause. Shift to a lower gear, lighten the implement load, and look for malfunctioning accessories that are adding to the overload.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting (2001) - The Engine Has Low Power p. 72Rear steering error code E1.0 on a 9240 or 9260
E1.0 means the rear steering controller has lost battery voltage and is seeing less than 9.7 volts. Start at the batteries and cables using the battery servicing pages. Then work back along the feed to the controller using the electronic and rear steering pages.
Manual Section: Electronic Rear Steering (5012) - Error Codes p. 1306Transmission error code E-71 on the dash display
On tractors built before P.I.N. JCB0028400, E-71 means transmission shift solenoids T and V have an open circuit. That points to a harness failure. Check the transmission harness at the transmission before you condemn the solenoids or tear into the powershift.
Manual Section: Powershift Transmission (6004) - Error Code Display Guide p. 1450Electronic hitch lamp failure code shows, then disappears
The lamp failure code only displays before hitch reset. Once you reset the hitch, the code will not come back, so write it down before you touch anything. Then trace the lamp circuit using the electronic hitch coverage in the Hydraulics section.
Manual Section: Wiring Schematic and Troubleshooting 9110-9130 (4001) - Electronic Hitch Failure Codes p. 419Frequently Asked Questions
What engines are in the Case IH 9110, 9130, 9150, 9170 and 9180 tractors?
The 9110 runs a Case 6T8.3 and the 9130 a Case 6TA8.3, both 504.5 cubic inch (8.27 L). The 9150 carries a Cummins LTA-10-A at 611 cubic inch (10.0 L). The 9170 and 9180 use the Cummins NTA-855-A at 855 cubic inch (14.0 L). p. 13
What is the wheel disc bolt torque on the 9110 and 9130 tractors?
The wheel disc bolts take 600 lb ft (813 Nm), wet. Retighten them after the first 3 hours, then every 10 hours until they hold that torque. p. 19
How do I recall and clear the last rear steering error code on a 9240 or 9260?
With the unit on, move the selector switch to the crab position and briefly press the calibration button. That brings back the last error. To clear it from memory, hold the calibration button until that error has displayed six times in sequence. p. 579
How are powershift transmission error codes displayed and cleared?
The code shows in the two most significant digits of the gear LCD on the dash. You get an E, then a blank, then the two digit code, and it keeps repeating. It clears when you put the mode lever in neutral and/or fix the problem. p. 1448
How much refrigerant does the 9200 series air conditioning take?
The 9210, 9230 and 9250 take 3.3 to 3.5 lb (1.5 to 1.6 kg) of R-134a. The 9270 and 9280 take 3.5 to 3.7 lb (1.6 to 1.7 kg). Refrigerant oil is 9.5 fl oz (280 cc) of PAG SP-20. p. 2816
