Part of the Case IH Operator Manuals.
A front wheel working loose after a track width change is the trouble this 282-page Case IH CVX operator manual PDF (OEM ID 84265480) is written to prevent, covering five tractor models from the CVX 140 through the CVX 195. Daily checks, fill quantities and engine, transmission, axle and brake service take up a good share of the book, while the operating chapters cover electronic draft control, the rear three-point hitch, auxiliary control valves and headland turn management. Ballast and track width settings get their own chapter. Fill the engine with 20 litres of oil and expect roughly 52 litres in the hydraulics and steering circuit; hub lock nuts on the 140 to 160 hp front axle go to 570 Nm. A guessed wheel nut torque is how a rim walks off on the road. Bookmarked and text-searchable, the PDF lives on the phone in your cab, so the figure is with you at the far headland while the weather holds.

Case IH CVX 140 to CVX 195 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Case IH CVX information display showing SGR STOP symbol with red warning light and critical alarm
Stop the tractor and switch off the engine immediately when the red STOP symbol lights, as page 54 directs, then find the cause. Read the unit name on the information display and match it in the warning displays table on page 53. Faults stay on screen until they are fixed. Consult your authorised dealer for the electronic fault.
Manual Section: Warning displays (Electronic malfunctions) p. 53Engine running but tractor will not move after transmission controller to vehicle controller connection fails
Unfasten plug connection AA and make a new connection with connector B, following the limp home procedure on page 93. Select direction with the shuttle lever and keep engine speed above 1,250 rpm, because below that the transmission stays in neutral. Drive at a maximum of 8 km/h, only as far as the nearest workshop, then reconnect plug AA.
Manual Section: Limp home function p. 93Yellow warning light with hydraulic filter blocked message on the information display
Switch off the engine before working on the hydraulic unit. Page 20 forbids maintenance with the engine running and warns that oil escaping under high pressure can penetrate the skin. Replace the hydraulic oil pressure filter and suction filters as the hydraulic unit maintenance section describes. If you change the oil, refill with AKCELA AW HYDRAULIC FLUID 46, approx. 52 litres, per page 203.
Manual Section: Warning displays (Electronic malfunctions) p. 53Yellow warning light showing water in fuel filter on the information display
Open the water drain plug on the fuel filter cartridge and drain off any water, as page 212 shows. Do it daily or each time after filling the tank. Fill the tank at the end of each working day to prevent condensation (page 210). Before refuelling, switch off the engine, remove the key and do not smoke (page 19).
Manual Section: Engine maintenance p. 212Red warning light and critical alarm for engine oil pressure too low
Stop the tractor and switch off the engine immediately, as page 54 directs. Park on level ground and wait 15 minutes, then check with the dipstick fully inserted. The level must sit between the MIN and MAX marks (page 212). Top up if it is below MIN, and never fill above MAX. In low ambient temperatures only operate the engine when the oil viscosity range suits the prevailing temperature (page 212). If the warning stays on, consult your authorised dealer (page 53).
Manual Section: Engine maintenance p. 212Coolant level too low warning with temperature gauge climbing into the red range
If the temperature rises too high, keep the engine running at idle and do not switch it off (page 50). Once it has cooled, switch off and top up through the compensation tank (page 213). If the system is still hot, loosen the tank cover only slightly to release the pressure before removing it, because there is a risk of scalding. Never use sea water, saline water, industrial waste water, completely decalcified water, rainwater or distilled water in the anti-freeze mixture (page 213).
Manual Section: Lubrication/Maintenance p. 213Frequently Asked Questions
