Engine does not start
Start with the cheap causes in the Engine section's fault diagnosis table. If the batteries are partially discharged, check and recharge them. If the tank is empty, fill it. If both are fine, the table points to incorrect injection pump timing, which you adjust, or a faulty starter motor, which you repair or replace. Battery capacity is 100 Ah on the JX1070U and JX1080U and 132 Ah on the JX1090U and JX1100U.

Use the fault diagnosis table for the rear mechanical hydraulic lift in the Hydraulic Systems section. First replace a clogged oil filter. Next, check whether the control valve is jammed in release and free it. If neither fixes it, overhaul or replace the hydraulic pump. A new lift pump is rated at 48 l/min. The relief valve is set to 190 to 195 bar.

The Brakes section's fault diagnosis lists three causes. Air in the brake circuit means bleeding it, using the section's air bleeding procedure. Worn brake control pumps get replaced. Leakage from the control pipes means finding and eliminating the cause. While you're in there, check the service brake disks. They are 10 mm new, with a wear limit of 8.6 mm.

Work through the fault diagnosis in the Drive Lines section for the 4WD electrohydraulic engagement. Replace the drive gear engage/disengage switch if it is faulty. Check the solenoid valve control contactor relay and replace it if necessary. Check the drive gear solenoid valve and replace it if needed. If the spring has yielded, overhaul the unit. The four wheel drive error code listing in the Error Codes section helps narrow it down.
