John Deere 225DLC engine oil filter part number won't cross-reference against old filter numbers on the shelf
Check the Oil Filter and Lines parts list on page 105. Order oil filter 8983758660, which supersedes 4485262, 8983042431 and 8983042430, so older boxes in the parts room still map to the current number. Add O-ring 4430912 for the adapter fittings, and confirm hoses 4629625 and 4629626 against the exploded view on page 104.
Manual Section: Engine Oiling System p. 105Can't tell which cooling package parts list applies when ordering a radiator, oil cooler or intercooler
Verify your machine serial number first. Use the list on page 161 for machines up to 501154 and the list on page 163 for 501155 and up. Both call out radiator 4650352, filler cap 4650360, oil cooler 4650353 and intercooler 4650354, but the brackets, screens and packing differ, so match those item numbers to your serial range before ordering.
