Part of the John Deere Repair Manuals.
Pull up the John Deere 325, 335, 345 Technical Manual (OEM #TM1760) and you get all 544 factory pages covering these Lawn and Garden Tractors from crankshaft to cutting deck. Inside: full wiring schematics with harness legends, component locations, and electrical theory that walks you through diagnosis rather than leaving you guessing at circuit behavior. Each of the three Kawasaki variants (FH531V, FH601V, FD611V) gets its own specs table, troubleshooting chart, and repair procedures, and the hydraulic section delivers a complete schematic with lift system flow and pressure testing. Confirm your electric PTO clutch current draw at 4 amps, and check coolant water quality against the 340 ppm total-solids limit before every refill. No more forum guesses when your 325 won't start. Open it on any device, search the spec you need, and fix the machine.

John Deere 325, 335, 345 Common Problems This Manual Covers
John Deere 325, 335, 345 brake not pushed down or PTO switch left on, engine will not start
Verify the brake pedal is fully depressed and the PTO switch is off. Test the electric PTO clutch current draw on page 218; it must measure exactly 4 amps. Inspect the safety interlock circuit board and replace any blown fuses interrupting the circuit.
Manual Section: Electrical System Troubleshooting p. 218Hose deterioration or coolant hose detachment from cylinder head fitting, cooling system overheating
Inspect cooling hoses for deterioration or detachment at the cylinder head. On model 345, test the radiator cap opening pressure; it must hold between 73 to 103 kPa (10.5 to 15 psi) as detailed on page 149. Reinstall hoses securely and refill the system.
Manual Section: Kawaskai Fd611V Engine p. 149Internal cooling system scaling and poor heat transfer, engine runs hot under heavy load
Drain and flush the entire cooling system to remove internal mineral deposits. Refill using a proper antifreeze mix and clean water. Review the specifications on page 26 to ensure your water supply contains a maximum total solids count of 340 ppm (20 grns/gal).
Manual Section: Specifications and Information p. 26Frequently Asked Questions
How to reset throttle on John Deere 345
To adjust the throttle cable, move the throttle control lever to the FAST idle position. If the throttle lever does not contact the high speed stop screw, loosen the throttle cable clamp and adjust the cable position until it makes contact. Move the throttle control lever through its full range to ensure the linkage is not binding. p. 165
How to reset engine governor John Deere 325
To perform a static adjustment of the engine governor, move the throttle control lever to the FAST idle position. Loosen nut (A), hold governor arm (B) fully clockwise, and rotate the governor shaft (D) counterclockwise as far as it will go using a small pin (C). Hold the shaft and arm in place, then tighten the nut to 7.8 N•m (69 lb-in.). p. 45
Torque specs for pulley bolts John Deere 345
For the PTO clutch, tighten the cap screw (H) to 56 N•m (45 lb-ft). Mower deck sheave nuts have various torque specifications: 140 N•m (103 lb-ft) for 38-Inch Mower Deck, 163 N•m (120 lb-ft) for 44-Inch Mower Deck, and 145 N•m (106 lb-ft) for 48 Convertible and 54-Inch Mower Decks. p. 176
What are the replacement specifications for Radiator cap and cooling system hoses (due to periodic deterioration)?
The radiator cap's pressure valve should open at 73—103 kPa (10.5—15 psi). If the cap leaks or its pressure is not within this specification, it should be replaced. For cooling system hoses, if pressure decreases during a test, check for leaks and repair or replace parts as necessary. p. 174
