TM1564 is the factory repair manual John Deere issued in February 1995 for the 2700, 2800 and 2900 tractors, and it is the one you want open on the bench when the tractor is split in half. Eleven sections across 1120 pages walk through the 4.2 L four cylinder turbo engines (Z1201T, Z1001T, Z1301A), the mechanical shift transmission, final drive, hydrostatic steering, brakes and the full hydraulic system with ISO circuit schematics. Section 15 covers separating the transmission from the engine with the special tools listed, and Section 40 carries complete harness diagrams with wire colours and numbers. This is a repair manual, not an operator booklet: teardown, inspection specs and reassembly for every major assembly.
