Part of the Case IH Operator Manuals.
Daily operation, field setup and routine care for the Case IH 8910 and 8920 tractors come together across 317 pages in this Case IH 8910 operator manual PDF, publication 9-29002. Power shift transmission, PTO, differential lock and MFD operation each get their own instructions, while the hitch chapters cover Category III coupler fitting, hitch system adjustments, position control and remote hydraulics. Tire load and inflation charts, tread positions, a ballasting guide and a lubrication chart listing 10-hour and 50-hour grease fittings fill out the setup and service side. Warm at rated speed, look for 43 to 54 PSI (296 to 372 kPa) of engine oil pressure; when you refill the transmission, plan on 45-1/2 gallons (172.2 litres). Before you order a new intake air filter or a replacement fan/alternator belt, check the matching service steps here. Bought once, the bookmarked, searchable file stays with your tractor.

Case IH 8910, 8920 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Case IH 8910 8920 engine oil pressure indicator stays red with stop engine lamp flashing and repeating alarm
Check the engine oil level right after you shut the engine down. Page 26 says to stop immediately, then find and correct the cause before restarting. Automatic shutdown cuts fuel 30 seconds after the red lamp lights. Use the override switch only in an emergency to move the tractor to a safe spot (page 22). Warm pressure at rated speed should read 43 to 54 PSI (296 to 372 kPa) per page 299.
Manual Section: Service Indicator Lamps p. 26Hydraulic filter indicator yellow with three second alarm, flashing on and off or staying on
Check how the yellow lamp behaves before you pull a filter. If it flashes on and off, change the transmission filter (4 inch diameter, angled). If it stays on, change the hydraulic filter (5 inch diameter, vertical), per page 29. Relieve all pressure before disconnecting any fluid line, and never use your hand to check for suspected leaks under pressure (page 251). Ignoring the lamp lets unfiltered oil bypass the filters.
Manual Section: Service Indicator Lamps p. 29Coolant temperature bar graph climbing into upper green or flashing all bars at 230°F (110.1°C)
Check for coolant leaks, plugged grille screens, radiator, oil cooler or AC condenser, a loose or worn fan drive belt, the viscous fan drive, radiator to hood seals and thermostats, per page 30. At 230°F (110.1°C) stop the engine immediately (page 31). Let the system cool before touching the deaeration tank cap, turn it to the first notch and wait for all pressure to release. Never remove the radiator cap (page 244).
Manual Section: Bar Graph Display - Coolant Temperature p. 30Transmission system pressure indicator constant red with repeating alarm and stop engine lamp flashing
Check the transmission oil level as soon as the engine is stopped. Page 28 calls for an immediate shutdown, then find and correct the cause before running the tractor again. Automatic shutdown follows 30 seconds after the stop engine lamp comes on, so do not fight it. When topping up, know that total transmission oil capacity is 45-1/2 gallons (172.2 litres) per page 264.
Manual Section: Service Indicator Lamps p. 28Alternator indicator constant red with no audible alarm and green systems normal lamp off
Check where you can safely park before shutting down. Page 27 says you may keep operating until the voltage level alarm sounds, but the batteries may be too low to restart the engine once stopped. Pick a spot where the tractor will not block a road and the operator can leave safely. Watch the system voltage bar graph on page 32 for low or high voltage readings.
