Only JCB's own book settles which fuse feeds which circuit on a Fastrac either side of machine number 120773, and this 292-page JCB 3230 operator manual PDF (part 9811/5550) does that for the 3200 and 3230 series across four variants, Plus models included. Warning lights, system error codes and instrument cluster programming sit with the cab controls, while routine maintenance fills about a third of the book: service schedules, greasing points, filter changes and fuel system bleeding. Your specification pages list load capacities, tyre pressures and top speed in every gear at 40, 50, 65 and 80 kph. Budget 350 L for the fuel tank and 17.5 L for an engine oil change, then torque rear wheel nuts to 600 Nm (440 lbf ft). A parked Fastrac loses you hours of fieldwork. Bookmarks on every section and a searchable text layer take you straight to the gearbox oil change or the relay chart in a couple of clicks.

JCB Fastrac 3200 & 3230 Common Problems This Manual Covers

JCB Fastrac 3200 instrument cluster showing system error code for transmission or electronic spool valves

Check the displayed code against the System Error Codes table on page 77, which groups codes by instrument cluster, central controller, engine, transmission and electronic spool valves. Note which controller raised it. Verify the fuses and relays for that circuit, then restart and recheck whether the code returns.

Manual Section: System Error Codes p. 77
Engine slow to fire on cold mornings with wait-to-start light staying on

Follow the cold starting procedure on page 87 and let the wait-to-start light go out before you crank. In low temperatures, use the engine and gearbox heaters as the Operating Environment section describes. Once the engine fires, check the oil pressure low light; if it stays lit, stop the engine and find out why.

Manual Section: Engine Starting Troubleshooting p. 87
Selectronic transmission range change invalid or incomplete, machine dropping into neutral dump state

Check the Invalid or Incomplete Range Changes guidance on page 97 before you try another shift. Clear the neutral dump state as that procedure directs, then reselect the range. If the fault repeats, check the gearbox oil level and note any transmission error code on the instrument cluster.

Manual Section: Invalid or Incomplete Range Changes p. 97
Parking brake not holding the machine stationary when tested on a slope or incline

Test the parking brake following page 88, working through mounted implements, parking brake engagement, gear selection, hand throttle and clutch pedal exactly as the procedure lists them. Keep the area clear of people while you test. If the machine creeps, do not operate it; have the brake inspected before it goes back to work.

Manual Section: Testing the Parking Brake p. 88
Hydraulic fluid level low or suction strainers blocked, with implement functions slow to respond

Release hydraulic pressure before you open any part of the system. Check the fluid level and top up as required; total hydraulic system capacity is 120L, listed on page 187. Clean the suction strainers following the Cleaning the Suction Strainers procedure on page 249, then run the machine briefly and recheck the fluid level.

Manual Section: Cleaning the Suction Strainers p. 249
Lights, switches or electrical functions dead after a blown fuse or failed relay

Identify the fuse and relay for the dead circuit using the fuse and relay identification charts starting on page 222. Replace a blown fuse only with one of the same rating, then check whether it blows again. If the battery is flat, jump-start the machine following the manual's jump-starting procedure.

Manual Section: Fuses to Machine Number 120773 p. 222
