Pull the clutch assembly and measure the friction pad material. Replace it once thickness drops to the 0.76 mm (0.030 in.) minimum listed on page 201. Check the BBC control cable for stretch and free travel before reassembly, then torque the clutch center bolt to 75 ± 14 N•m (55 ± 10 lb-ft).
