Part of the New Holland Operator Manuals.
A hydraulic oil temperature alarm, hydrostatic oil filter alert or PTO alert on the TV145 display is covered in this 253-page New Holland TV145 operator manual PDF, OEM part number 87639930. Safety precautions and identification numbers come first. Cab controls and the Electronic Instrument Control System follow, including EIC calibration for final drive ratio and tire rolling radius, plus resetting service interval hours. Later chapters take in PTO operation, braking, remote control valves, three-point hitch use, the lubrication and maintenance chart, troubleshooting, optional equipment and specifications. Fill the engine with 22.0 L (23 U.S. qts) of oil at a filter change; the hydraulic reservoir holds 45.5 L (12 U.S. gal). Your job might be the First 50-Hour Service: coolant level, air cleaner connections, fuel filter, engine oil, and hydraulic and hydrostatic filters. Buy it once and the bookmarked, text-searchable file stays yours for this TV145, ready whenever you set up remote valves or the three-point hitch.

New Holland TV145 Common Problems This Manual Covers
Remote attachment operates too fast, too slow, or not at all from the remote valves
Lower the implement to the ground or set its transport stops, and wear gloves around pressurized hydraulics (page 133). Attach the hoses fully, then adjust the flow control; the remote circuits cover 11 to 113 liters/min per page 131. If the attachment still will not operate under load, reduce the load or increase implement cylinder size, as page 213 lists.
Manual Section: Hydraulic System Troubleshooting p. 213Three-point hitch will not raise, or drops too slowly or too quickly when lowering
Shut off the tractor, apply the park brake and remove the key before servicing (page 150), then check and fill the hydraulic reservoir. Inspect the electrical connections at the electro-hydraulic valve and hitch controls, and replace a blown fuse, per page 214. If the hitch drops at the wrong speed, adjust the lowering rate control knob. If it still will not raise, contact your New Holland dealer.
Manual Section: Three-Point Hitch Troubleshooting p. 214Starter speed low with engine cranking slowly and batteries will not charge
Wear eye protection near the batteries (page 39) and disconnect the battery cables before working on the starter cable connections (page 181). Clean and tighten loose or corroded terminals, then check each battery open circuit voltage for 12.6 volts minimum per page 211. Check alternator belt tension and replace a worn belt as page 212 directs; charge or replace dead batteries.
Manual Section: Electrical System Troubleshooting p. 211Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reset an active fault code on the New Holland TV145 display?
To cancel a non-critical alarm and clear the displayed code, press the ACK/RESET switch on the EIC control panel. The light for the function will remain on, but the audio alarm and code display will be cleared. p. 65
How do you fix new Holland TV145 engine will not start or starts hard even with fuel in the tank?
Engage the parking brake, place the FNR lever in neutral, move the PTO and auxiliary hydraulic drive switches to OFF, and lock the rotating console to the engine end or cab end, per page 208. Never bypass the neutral start circuit or jump the starter terminals (pages 9 and 29). If it still cranks without firing, bleed air from the fuel lines, replace a clogged fuel filter, and clean or replace the air filter. p. 208
How do you fix engine overheats and coolant temperature alarm sounds while pulling a heavy load?
Reduce ground speed or load first. Let the system cool, then turn the recovery tank pressure cap slowly with a thick cloth before removing it, as page 160 warns. Fill low coolant and check for leaks per page 210, check fan belt tension, and replace a faulty cap. Clean restricted cooler fins with no more than 100 PSI (7 bar) air, wearing eye protection (page 162). p. 210
How do you fix hydraulic oil overheats during remote valve work with hydraulic oil temperature alarm active?
Shut off the tractor, apply the park brake and remove the key before servicing (page 150). Adjust the oil level, since low or high oil both overheat the system; reservoir capacity is 45.5 L on page 151. Clean the oil cooler and radiator, replace a blocked filter element, and set the flow control to a lower flow position per page 213. If an orbit motor load is mismatched, contact your New Holland dealer. p. 213
