TM12808 settles what forums and parts counters cannot: it is the 402-page factory John Deere 328E-333E repair manual PDF, covering all four E-Series skid steer and compact track loader models in one book, from PIN 1T0328E___E236673 and after — check the PIN plate on your machine before you buy. Removal and installation procedures fill most of the book, running from the drive motors and reduction gears through the loader frame, attachment coupler and bucket cylinders, each ending in the values that let you sign off the job. Torque tables for unified and metric hardware sit up front, and a closing chapter of dealer-fabricated tool drawings shows you how to build the track recoil spring tool and lock nut wrench yourself. Set the charge pressure relief valve against its 2800 kPa (406 psi) minimum, then pull the 329E and 333E motor end cover cap screws down to 111 N·m (82 lb·ft). Every hour spent hunting a spec is an hour that loader sits. Bookmarked and text-searchable, this PDF is on your bench minutes after checkout.

John Deere 328E, 329E, 332E, 333E Common Problems This Manual Covers

John Deere 328E skid steer loses drive power on inclines, hydrostatic whine under load

Test charge pressure first. Tee a gauge into the charge circuit and run the engine at operating speed; the charge pressure relief valve must hold a minimum of 2800 kPa (28 bar, 406 psi), spec on page 73. If pressure is low, inspect the relief valve for debris and check reservoir oil level before condemning the pump.

Manual Section: Transmission p. 73
Final drive grinding noise and gradual loss of travel on one side of machine

Drain the final drive gear oil and check for metal flake before running the machine any further. Inspect the planetary gears and the face seal for leakage. On 329E and 333E machines, torque the motor end cover cap screws to 111 N·m (82 lb-ft) during reassembly, spec on page 116, then refill with clean gear oil.

Manual Section: Transmission p. 116
Boom drifts down under load and loader hydraulic functions feel weak or slow

Check the lift check valve before pulling cylinders; a scored seat lets the boom bleed down. Remove the cap, inspect the poppet and seat for scoring, and torque the cap back to 65 N·m (48 lb-ft), page 329. If every function is weak, inspect the system relief valve for debris and reinstall it at 65 N·m (48 lb-ft), page 330.

Manual Section: Loader p. 329
Engine derates and will not rev past 1900 RPM, multiple fault codes displayed

Check the basics before chasing controller codes. Replace a restricted air filter element, drain any water from the fuel system, and confirm a clean fuel supply; the tank holds 96.5 L, spec on page 195. Verify battery voltage and clean the ground connections, since low system voltage stacks nuisance codes on top of the real fault.

Manual Section: External Fuel Supply Systems p. 195
Two-speed or auxiliary function cuts out intermittently, solenoid clicks but nothing happens

Test the solenoid coil and wiring before buying a valve. Verify battery voltage reaches the connector with the function commanded and wiggle the harness to catch an intermittent break. If the coil checks good, remove the solenoid valve, clean the cavity, and reinstall it at 46 N·m (35 lb-ft) with the solenoid nut at 9 N·m (80 lb-in), page 147.

Manual Section: Hydrostatic Pump p. 147
