TM1597 is the number printed on the cover, and it is the same technical manual John Deere issued to dealer service benches for the F735 front mower and the Yanmar 2V78 diesel bolted into it. The full 381-page book comes as a PDF download, from the torque tables at the front to the mower deck gear case at the back.
It is Saturday, the deck is off, and there is nobody around who has had one of these apart. This book answers instead: compression figures and valve clearance in the Diesel Engine section, cranking, run, charge and PTO circuits drawn out in the Electrical section, neutral adjustment and drive belt work under Hydrostatic Power Train, and deck leveling, spindle repair and blade sharpening in Attachments.
