Part of the New Holland Operator Manuals.
A fault code on the digital panel mid-pass, or a rear lift that will not hold depth, is the problem this 288-page New Holland TN65F, TN75F, TN90F operator manual PDF (OEM 6036452100) for all three tractors was written to solve. Each transmission option gets its own operating section, from range gear with mechanical shuttle through creeper, splitter and Power-Shuttle, while the PTO and electronic lift chapters explain calibration and the error codes behind them. Service runs from the 10-hour checks to the 1200-hour visit, with ballasting, tyre combinations and engine, electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting covered too. Change the coolant every two years or 1200 hours, and set clutch pedal travel to 150 ± 2 mm. Bookmarks and a searchable text layer drop you onto the one section you need.

New Holland TN65F, TN75F, TN90F Common Problems This Manual Covers
New Holland TN65F/TN75F/TN90F engine overheating with low coolant level in the expansion tank
Verify the engine is stopped and cool before opening the cap. The system is pressurised, so use a cloth and unscrew the cap slowly to release pressure, as page 17 warns. Top up the expansion tank, check for leaks and tighten any leaking hose connectors. Clean a clogged radiator core. Check the fan belt tensioning device and replace a worn belt. Then check the thermostat and radiator cap following pages 257 and 258.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 257Dashboard battery charge light stays on while the engine is running at low idle
Check the idle first and increase idling speed if it is low. Stop the engine, which page 44 requires before any maintenance, then check the alternator belt tensioning device. Test the battery: charge must be at least 12.6 volts. Check electrolyte level and specific gravity following page 259. If the belt and battery pass, have the alternator checked by your dealer.
Manual Section: Electrical System Troubleshooting p. 259Engine will not start or is difficult to start in cold weather
Check the fuel level, then bleed air from the fuel system. Replace a clogged fuel filter element and tighten the filter screw 3/4 of a turn as shown on page 213. Below 0°C (32°F), mix the diesel with antifreeze in the proportions on the container, per page 46. Verify the engine oil viscosity suits the temperature. Confirm all controls are in neutral before cranking (page 44). If you suspect an injector fault, contact your dealer.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 256Rear three-point linkage hydraulic lift operates slowly in draft control or does not lift fully
Adjust the combined draft/position control first, because a wrong setting makes the lift slow in draft control. If the arms will not lift fully, adjust the link arm top limiter following page 261, then adjust the implement settings. Never climb between the implement and tractor while the lift external electronic controls are enabled (page 18). If lowering speed stays too slow, have the valves checked. If the electronic lift signals an error code, contact your dealer.
Manual Section: Rear Mechanical Hydraulic Lift Troubleshooting p. 261Remote control does not work after connecting implement hoses to the tractor couplers
Check that the implement hoses are connected correctly, then check oil flow in the half seals. Actuate the control levers. If the problem persists, replace the male couplers. Where wrong male seals keep hoses from joining properly, fit standard ISO 1/2 inch couplers from your dealer, per page 260. If the system is overloaded, reduce the load or use a suitable cylinder.
Manual Section: Hydraulic System Troubleshooting p. 260PTO will not engage when selected and the engagement system signals an error code
Check the code against the PTO error table on page 101. For code 11, check fuse F9 and pin 35 on the ECU. For codes 15, 16 or 17, check the solenoid valve terminals and wiring. For 18 or 19, test the battery and alternator. Stop the engine before checking wiring (page 44). For codes 37 and 38, contact your dealer early so the tractor is back in the field before the weather window closes.
Manual Section: Power Take-Off Engagement System Error Codes p. 101Frequently Asked Questions
How do I reset the electronic lift unit error codes?
To delete stored error data from the control unit, press and hold the push button (3) on the calibration instrument with the arrow pointing downwards for at least 5 seconds. This procedure is described on page 138. p. 138
What is the procedure for calibrating the HI-LO clutch?
Calibration is required after control unit or solenoid valve replacement. Park the tractor, remove the dashboard side panel, connect the calibration instrument to the black connector (2) on page 70, and follow the steps using the push buttons (2 and 3) to initiate the 'CALIBR' mode. p. 70
What is the correct tension for the fan belt on a tractor without a cab?
For models without a cab or with a cab but without air conditioning, the fan belt tension (A) should be 3.93 to 4.33 inches (10 to 11 mm) with a load of 78 to 98 N (8 to 10 kg). p. 204
What is the valve clearance specification for the engine on the New Holland TN65F, TN75F, TN90F?
The valve clearance for inlet and exhaust valves, measured when the engine is cold, is 0.30 ± 0.05 mm. p. 269
What is the fuel tank capacity for the TN65F, TN75F, and TN90F tractors?
The main fuel tank holds 62 litres (approximately 16.5 US gallons). p. 198
