Part of the New Holland Operator Manuals.
Written for the T1110 tractor and its 230GM mower deck, this 140-page New Holland T1110 operator manual PDF (OEM 87722411) runs from safety decals to predelivery checks. Wiring diagrams sit inside the lubrication and maintenance chapter, beside routine work on engine oil, the fuel filter, air cleaner and cooling system. Operation pages walk you through the instrument panel and hydrostatic transmission, while the 230GM section handles deck leveling, cutting height, blade sharpening and belt replacement. Hardware tightening torques are tabulated too. Fill the H.S.T. reservoir with 13 L (13.8 US qts) and the cooling system with 3.5 L (3.7 qts). When the job is tracing the electrical system, those diagrams show how its circuits connect; battery checks call for 450 amps minimum cold cranking at -18°C (0°F). Order by OEM number 87722411 and the right book arrives first time: a bookmarked PDF with a live text layer, so your next fuel filter job starts with a quick search.

New Holland T1110, 230GM Common Problems This Manual Covers
New Holland T1110 battery charge warning light stays on with the alternator not charging the battery
Check the fan belt and the wiring connections first, following the alternator notes on page 76. A correct belt deflects 10 to 15 mm under 9 to 11 kg of thumb pressure midway between pulleys (page 71). Never loosen or tighten the alternator mounting bolts with the engine running (page 72). If belt and wiring are good and the light still shows no charge, consult your New Holland Dealer.
Manual Section: Electrical System p. 76Fan belt slipping or showing cracks and fraying with the engine running too hot
Shut the engine off, then press the belt midway between the pulleys with 9 to 11 kg of thumb pressure. It should deflect 10 to 15 mm per page 71. Install a new belt if it is cracked or frayed. To tighten, loosen the alternator mounting bolts, pry the alternator away from the engine, retighten and recheck deflection. Never touch those bolts with the engine running (page 72).
Manual Section: Cooling System p. 71Engine coolant recovery reservoir level dropping below the low mark or completely empty
Check the reservoir with the engine cold. Level belongs between the low and full marks (page 69). If it is empty, cover the radiator cap with a thick cloth, turn it slowly counterclockwise to the first stop and let all pressure escape before removing it (page 69). Fill the radiator with a 50/50 mix of permanent antifreeze and clear water, top the reservoir to full, and clear chaff from the radiator fins.
Manual Section: Cooling System p. 69Battery terminals corroded or electrolyte level low at the 50 hour battery check
Shut the engine off before checking electrolyte, because the battery produces explosive gas while the alternator charges. Keep open flame and smoking away (page 75). Remove the vent plugs and add distilled water until the liquid sits 6.35 mm above the plates. Clean the terminals with baking soda and water, keeping it out of the cells, rinse with clean water, then coat the terminals with petroleum jelly.
Manual Section: Battery Maintenance p. 75Instrument panel, turn signals and fuel pump dead with no electrical power
Check fuse 3, the 25A fuse in the fuse block on the top LH corner of the radiator bulkhead (page 76). It feeds the instrument panel, turn signals, safety start circuit and fuel pump. If the whole tractor is dead, unplug the connector on the LH side of the engine between the starter and alternator and inspect the main 40 amp fuse (page 77). Never increase the amperage rating, and do not bypass the neutral start switches (page 9).
Manual Section: Electrical System p. 76Mower deck leaving grass torn or beaten off instead of cut cleanly
Shut off the engine and disengage all drives before working on the deck (page 56). Inspect each blade, because a dull or damaged blade tears the grass instead of cutting it (page 95). Sharpen, balance or replace the blades, then torque the blade bolts to 98 to 118 N·m following page 114. Inspect blade retainer bolts and spindle nuts daily and whenever a blade has been removed (page 95).
Manual Section: Mower Blade Maintenance p. 114Frequently Asked Questions
How do I service the New Holland T1110 hydrostatic transmission?
The hydrostatic transmission oil and filter should be changed every 300 hours of operation. The combined reservoir for the transmission, rear axle, and hydraulic system holds 13 liters (13.8 US quarts) of Ambra Multi G134 hydraulic oil. Detailed procedures for changing the oil and filter are found on pages 67 and 68. p. 67
What are the replacement specifications for the engine fuel filter on the New Holland T1110, 230GM?
The fuel filter should be replaced every 200 hours of operation. When installing the new filter, ensure the directional arrow on the filter points in the direction of fuel flow, from the tank to the engine. Refer to page 63 for the full replacement procedure. p. 63
What are the replacement specs for the hydraulic and transmission oil filter on the New Holland T1110, 230GM?
The hydraulic system oil filter must be replaced after the first 50 hours of operation, and then every 300 hours thereafter. The H.S.T. system oil filter also follows this 50-hour initial and 300-hour subsequent replacement interval. Refer to page 68 for the specific replacement steps. p. 68
What is the correct valve clearance for the T1110 engine?
The valve clearance for both the intake and exhaust valves on the T1110 engine is 0.20 mm (0.008 inches) when cold. p. 126
What is the correct torque for the ROPS mounting bolts on the New Holland T1110, 230GM?
The ROPS mounting bolts on top of each fender must be tightened to a torque of 50 N⋅m (37 ft-lb). This should be inspected after the first 20 hours of operation and then every 500 hours or every six months. p. 73
