Part of the New Holland Operator Manuals.
Daily operation and scheduled servicing for five New Holland tractors, the TD60D through TD95D, are settled in this 211-page operator manual, OEM number 5091825. Service intervals in this New Holland TD95D operator manual PDF run from the 10-hour daily check through the 50, 300, 600, 900 and 1200-hour schedules, ending with lubricant capacities and specifications. Fault finding is sorted by engine, electrical system, hydraulic system, three-point linkage, brakes and cab, and the controls chapter explains range gear, shuttle and creeper transmissions, mechanical four-wheel drive and the differential lock. When cleaning your air cleaner element, keep compressed air below 5.9 bar (85 psi), and set clutch pedal distance A to 40 mm (1.6 in). Your wheel track adjustment and ballasting jobs are covered too. The bookmarked pages print cleanly, so you can run off the First 50-hour Service Forms as working copies to fill in during that first 50-hour service.

New Holland TD60D–TD95D Common Problems This Manual Covers
New Holland TD60D to TD95D engine temperature gauge reading in red area, engine overheating under load
Slow the engine to minimum revs without stopping it, as page 31 directs; if the light stays on, have the cooling system checked. Once it cools, stop the engine (page 17) and use a cloth to slowly release the pressurised cap (page 20). Clean a clogged radiator core, top up expansion tank coolant and engine oil, and check the fan belt tensioner, replacing a worn belt, per page 168.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 168Fuel system with air or clogged filter, engine difficult to start or will not start
Check the fuel level first, but never remove the fuel cap or refuel with the engine running or hot (page 18). Loosen the fuel filter drain plug about 3/4 of a turn as shown on page 140, replace a clogged filter element, and bleed the fuel system. Use fuel suited to ambient temperature; for a suspected injector fault, contact your dealer per page 167.
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 167Engine does not reach maximum power, dry air filter clogged warning light on
Check the yellow dry air filter warning light on page 29; it signals a partially or totally clogged cartridge. Stop the engine (page 17), then clean the element with compressed air below 5.9 bar (85 psi) or a water jet below 2.9 bar (42 psi), drying it under 50°C, per page 132. If the engine is overloaded, change to a lower gear or reduce load (page 167).
Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 167Battery charge light stays on with engine running, battery not charging properly
Stop the engine before touching the belt (page 17) and keep hands clear of the fan and belts (page 20). Check the alternator belt tensioning device and replace a loose or worn belt. Clean and tighten corroded terminals, then confirm battery charge is at least 12.6 volts and check electrolyte level and specific gravity. If idle speed is low, increase it; otherwise have the alternator checked by your dealer per page 170.
Manual Section: Electrical System Troubleshooting p. 170Hydraulic lift oil filter clogged, hydraulic system not working properly and fluid overheating
Stop the engine (page 17) and check the fluid level, topping up if low or correcting it if too high. Replace a clogged hydraulic filter: oil the rubber seal and tighten the cartridge 3/4 of a turn by hand, as page 142 shows. Set flow regulation to a lower capacity. If the fault persists, contact your dealer per page 171.
Manual Section: Hydraulic System Troubleshooting p. 171Three-point linkage does not lift fully or lowers slowly when control lever is actuated
Adjust the link arm top limiter on page 172 if the linkage stops short of full lift. If it will not move, connect the linkage cylinder tubes correctly and reduce the load. Slow lowering points to an incorrectly set lowering speed control; have the valves checked. Slow lift in draft control calls for adjusting the mixed control and implement settings.
Manual Section: Hydraulic Lift and 3-Point Linkage Troubleshooting p. 172Frequently Asked Questions
What is the engine valve clearance specification for the TD60D, TD70D, TD80D, TD90D, and TD95D models?
The valve clearance for the engine, when cold, is 0.35 ± 0.05 mm (0.012 ± 0.002 inches) for both inlet and exhaust valves. p. 191
What is the correct engine oil capacity for the TD60D and TD70D models when replacing the filter?
When replacing the engine oil filter on the TD60D and TD70D models, the engine oil capacity is 7.5 dm³ (2.0 US gal). p. 163
What is the procedure for bleeding the fuel system on these tractors?
To bleed the fuel system, unscrew the bleed plug (1) on the fuel filter by approximately two turns (page 153, fig. 67). Then, actuate the fuel pump primer lever (fig. 68) until fuel without air bubbles spurts from the bleed hole, and tighten the plug. p. 153
What is the tightening torque for the front axle sliding end retaining bolts and nuts on 2WD New Holland TD60D–TD95D?
The tightening torque for the front axle sliding end retaining bolts and nuts on 2WD models is 220 Nm (22.5 kgm). p. 98
What is the required tension for the fan belt on models without air conditioning?
The fan belt tension should be 10-11 mm (0.39-0.43 in) at the center of the belt run with an applied load of 78-98 N (8-10 kg or 17.7-22.1 lbs). p. 131
