Ballast figures, PTO shaft speeds, and correct service intervals for the TT4 range live in one book: the 122 page New Holland TT4.55, TT4.65, TT4.75 operator manual PDF, factory publication 47812450. The lubrication and maintenance chart, filling nearly a quarter of the book, walks you from the 10 hour daily checks through the 50, 300, 600, and 1200 hour services, with fault finding tables for the engine, hydraulic lift, electrical system, and brakes behind it. Instrument panel layouts decode every warning light, and the three point linkage and drawbar sections spell out recommended implement and trailer loads. Hand tighten the hydraulic oil filter three quarters of a turn after gasket contact, and pull the hub disc locknuts to 255 Nm. Hay down is no time to hunt a tyre pressure. Bookmarked and text searchable, this PDF stays wherever your tractor is working.

New Holland TT4.55, TT4.65, TT4.75 Common Problems This Manual Covers

New Holland TT4.75 hydraulics jerky and slow once the oil warms up after an hour of work

Check the common transmission, hydraulic and steering oil on the dipstick and keep it between the MIN and MAX hatch marks (page 93); the system takes about 38 litres (page 121). The hydraulic fault finding table on page 109 lists low oil level and a clogged hydraulic filter: fit a new filter with clean oil on the rubber seal, screw it up until the faces just meet, then tighten it a further 3/4 of a turn (page 93). A faulty hydraulic system or lift pump is a job for your authorised dealer (page 109).

Manual Section: Hydraulic System Troubleshooting p. 109
Engine fails to start or is difficult to start after a fuel filter change

The engine fault finding table on page 106 lists air in the fuel system (bleed the fuel system), a clogged fuel filter (replace it), low or empty fuel, the tractor left in gear (put the shuttle lever in neutral) and an incorrect starting procedure. When changing the primary fuel filter, loosen the bleed screw, fit the new element and prime the system with the hand primer before starting (page 91). The fuel tank holds 62 litres, plus 40 litres with the auxiliary tank (page 79).

Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 106
Three point linkage raises slowly with a mounted implement and will not lift to full height

On the hydraulic lift and three-point linkage table (page 109), linkage that does not lift fully points to an incorrect setting of the hydraulic lift arms or internal adjustments, and a lift that operates slowly in draft control points to the combined draft/position control being incorrectly set, a lowering speed that is too slow, or an implement not working properly. The relief valve pressure is 210 (190+10) bar and maximum lift capacity at the ball ends is 2000 kg, or 2500 kg with the assist ram (page 119).

Manual Section: Hydraulic Lift and Three-Point Linkage Troubleshooting p. 109
Engine oil pressure warning light glows at idle and stays on after startup

A steady engine oil pressure light means low oil pressure: stop the engine and investigate the cause (page 25). The engine fault finding table on page 107 lists low oil level (top up), an incorrect grade of oil (drain and refill with the correct grade and viscosity) and a faulty oil pump (see your authorised dealer). The engine takes about 7.4 litres of NH 330H SAE 15W40 oil (page 121).

Manual Section: Engine Troubleshooting p. 107
Remote hydraulic quick couplers hard to connect and auxiliary control lever does nothing

The hydraulic fault finding table on page 109 lists three causes when the auxiliary control does not work: hoses not connected correctly (connect them correctly), a system overload (reduce the load or use a suitable cylinder) and incorrect couplings (correct the couplings). The remote outlets use 0.5 inch quick-attached female couplings (page 56).
