Part of the New Holland Operator Manuals.
A three-point hitch fault code, a critical alarm or a lit air filter lamp each has its own entry in the New Holland TV6070 operator manual PDF, 266 pages under OEM number 47538609 for your TV6070 tractor. Service work is laid out by hour: daily 10-hour checks, then 50, 300, 600, 1200 and 1800-hour intervals, plus lubricants and capacities and fuse and relay locations. Controls are identified station by station. Working chapters cover PTO operation, hitch position setup, remote control valves, a ballasting weight chart and tire load ratings. Set the drawbar hitch pin 356 mm (14 in) from the PTO shaft for 540 RPM work, and change the hydraulic and hydrostatic oil filters every 600 hours. When the job in front of you is bleeding the fuel injection system or changing the PTO shaft, both are written out as titled procedures. Bought once, the bookmarked, searchable file stays yours for every hitch adjustment on this TV6070.

New Holland TV6070 Common Problems This Manual Covers
New Holland TV6070 hydraulic oil temperature alarm with HYD OIL TEMP flashing and engine shutting down after 20 seconds
Press the ACK/Reset key during the 20 second STOP alarm, as page 229 shows. The engine keeps running while you stop all tractor hydraulic operation and let the oil cool. Power to the hydraulic pump cuts at 116 °C (241 °F) and returns at 107 °C (225 °F) per page 143. Shut off the tractor and correct the overheating before going back to work.
Manual Section: Critical alarms p. 229Three-point hitch error with HPL ERR and a code number displayed in the upper monitor area
Record the number shown after HPL ERR and contact your New Holland dealer with that fault code, as page 225 directs. Code 1 means calibration is required. Codes 2 through 7 point to open or shorted pot-wiper, solenoid valve or potentiometer supply circuits. Code 8 flags low battery voltage on the hitch circuit.
Manual Section: Three-point hitch fault codes p. 225Engine oil pressure light on with ENG OIL PSI flashing and STOP shown on the display
Press the ACK/Reset key during the 20 second STOP alarm only to move the tractor to a safe location, per page 227, then shut it down. Do not restart more than once or run at high speed, because the engine and hydrostatic transmission may have no lubricating oil. Contact your New Holland dealer as page 226 instructs.
Manual Section: Critical alarms p. 227Coolant temperature bar graph in the red with temperature light flashing and constant audible alarm
Check the red bar count against page 228. At 111 °C (231 °F) and above, the display flashes, the alarm sounds constantly and the engine shuts down after 20 seconds. Use ACK/Reset only to reach a safe spot, then shut off and correct the overheating. Let the system cool before removing the cap, and turn it slowly to release pressure (page 24). Cooling system capacity is 45 L (12 US gal) premixed, page 163.
Manual Section: Critical alarms p. 228Display flashing VOLTS symbol with voltage reading and audible alarm beeping while the engine runs
Check the displayed voltage against page 232. A warning triggers above 15 V with the engine running, below 12.5 V above 1500 RPM, or below 11.5 V at any speed. Shut off the tractor promptly and correct the cause. Stop the engine and remove the key before disconnecting electrical connections (page 24). Wear splash-proof goggles and gloves around battery electrolyte (page 196).
Manual Section: Non-critical alarms p. 232Ground speed shows .0 with OPEN or SHCR flashing and hydrostatic drive will not shift into 7th or 8th range
Reset the speed sensor circuit fault by shutting the tractor down and restarting it, as page 233 describes. While the open or short circuit stays active, the electronic instrument control system blocks the hydrostatic drive from 7th and 8th range. If OPEN or SHCR comes back after the restart, contact your New Holland dealer.
Manual Section: Non-critical alarms p. 233Frequently Asked Questions
What do the three-point hitch error codes mean?
There are eight error codes for the three-point hitch system. For example, error code 1 indicates 'Required calibration', code 2 is 'Rockshaft pot-wiper open or shorted', and code 8 is 'Low battery voltage'.
